The key point: FuriRead processes all Japanese text locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your browsing data or personal information.

FuriRead is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do NOT collect:

• Content of web pages you view
• Personal information or account details
• Cookies or tracking data
• IP addresses or device identifiers
• Any text processed by the extension
All text processing happens entirely within your browser using locally stored dictionary files.
Local Data Storage
FuriRead stores the following data locally on your device:
• Extension settings (enabled/disabled state, color preferences)
• Japanese dictionary files for offline use
• Usage quota counters (for free tier limits)
This data never leaves your device and can be deleted by removing the extension.
Third-Party Services
The FuriRead extension itself does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
If you purchase FuriRead Pro through the App Store, those transactions are processed by Apple according to their privacy policy.
Data Security
Since we don't collect your data, there's no risk of your browsing information being exposed in a data breach.
The extension only requests the minimum permissions needed to function:
• Access to web page content (to add furigana)
• Storage (to save your preferences locally)
Children's Privacy
FuriRead does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The extension is suitable for users of all ages as it does not collect any personal information.
