By downloading, installing, or using the FuriRead browser extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Extension. These Terms apply to all users of the Extension, including both free and paid versions.

FuriRead is a browser extension that adds furigana (reading hints) to Japanese text on web pages. The Extension processes Japanese text locally on your device to display phonetic readings above kanji characters. Key features include: • Automatic furigana annotation for Japanese web content • Color-coded parts of speech highlighting • Offline functionality with local dictionary storage • Support for Safari (iOS, iPadOS, macOS) and Chrome browsers

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to: • Download and install the Extension on your personal devices • Use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes You may NOT: • Copy, modify, or distribute the Extension or its source code • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension • Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Extension

The Extension, including its code, design, features, and documentation, is owned by FuriRead and protected by intellectual property laws. The Japanese dictionary data used by the Extension is based on open-source linguistic resources and is used in compliance with their respective licenses. "FuriRead" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that: • The Extension will be error-free or uninterrupted • Furigana readings will be 100% accurate in all cases • The Extension will be compatible with all websites or browsers Japanese language processing involves complex linguistic rules, and while we strive for high accuracy, some words may occasionally display incorrect furigana.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FURINEWS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE EXTENSION.

We reserve the right to: • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time • Update these Terms with reasonable notice • Change features or availability Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
